Boraginaceae

The Borage Family

This is another contentious family within the realm of taxonomy, which in layman's terms means that they're really not sure where to put it in the tree of life. Boraginaceae is a relatively common family, with some well-known species being borage, forget-me-nots, comfrey, and hound's-tongue. Many members of this family have hairy leaves that can cause irritation with frequent handling (usually effects gardeners). The specimen we have in our collection is an invasive species.
