Weekend with Wolves

Each year, the Timber Wolf Alliance hosts a special weekend dedicated to wolves.

Save the dates for next year's weekend: Friday August 3 - Sunday August 5, 2012.

Open to eveyone interested in learning more about these fascinating animals, join us to learn about:

  • wolf ecology, 
  • wolf monitoring techniques, 
  • and the latest wolf issues. 

Time will be spent indoors as well as in the field surveying wolf pack territories. Participants assist with wolf howling surveys and learn techniques related to wolf tracking identification and telemetry. 

Held at the North Lakeland Discovery Center, participants experience the northwoods in one of the most beautiful locations in the state. 

Fees include registration, meals, and two nights lodging in a comfortable bunkhouse style cabin.

The workshop begins at 6 p.m. on Friday, August 3rd and ends at 1 p.m. Sunday, August 5th.
